a timeline of glory and gore

The lost year. We tried to distract ourselves from the pandemic however we could, while convincing ourselves that the world was really not going to turn into a George Miller nightmare.

Myhrenator took the top spot in a strong division with a 9-4 record. Yactastic decimated the second division with a 10-3 record, but Myhrenator took home the glory in Championship week.

Deshaun Watson, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, and Big Ben were all highly relevant fantasy QBs. Wow.

The last year of the 10-team league, and the last year of Fantasy playoffs.

Jmacattack79 took the top seed in the Carpet Baggers division, and took home the best season record and the Championship win (a 2-week gauntlet) in an 18- week season. Meanwhile, Fyrite topped the Scally Waggers division with a 19-9 record.

thebruce discovered that cobbling a team together with Ryan Tannehill, Justin Fields, and Panthers-era Sam Darnold at QB was not a recipe for success.

Enter the 12-team league, our first IDP slot, and the end of fantasy kickers.

thebruce took the overall top spot with a 26-10 record, followed closely by Jawsy at 25-11. Newcomer Basiliskstation topped the first division at 22-14 before fading from history.

Nick Chubb, Tony Pollard, Dalvin Cook, and Austin Ekeler were all top-10 running backs. This was one of two seasons in our records where Josh Allen was NOT the QB1 (He was 2nd both times).

Superflex enters the ring, along with a second IDP slot. The general shape of our current roster build begins to gel. Having jettisoned divisions and totally abandoned playoffs, the league lumbers its way into the futre.

Fyrite takes home the first of two back-to-back league wins, topping a crowded field with a 25-11 record in a year where five managers all got 23 wins or more.

Raheem Mostert was the shocking RB4, while Puka Nacua made his debut as the WR4, and Sam Laporta was TE1 in his rookie year.

2024 is FUNderdome’s first season as a Keeper league, although the first attempt at a keeper system is overcomplicated and poorly-designed.

Fyrite and thebruce both go for 28-8 records, though Fyrite easily wins the Points-For tiebreaker by 130 overall.

thebruce thought it would be fun to drop rosters to a four player bench. He is wrong about this. it is not fun.

Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Derrick Henry all certify (or re-certify) themselves as superhuman, each going for over 1500 total yards and 15 TDs.

2025 is marked within FUNderdome as being a year of little change. The problems in the keeper system are largely dealt with, and no managers either leave or are added. thebruce's experiment with benches is thankfully terminated, and no other roster tweaks are made.

cjl1209's Kanye West team rides atop a cluster of strong opponents to take the league with a 27-9 record. Fyrite and megmegmeg both finish with 24 wins, and jmacattack79 and yactastic each finish with 22 wins.

A 29 year-old Christian McCaffrey outscores every player of any position (other than Josh Allen) this season, with 311 rushing attempts and 102 receptions for 17 total TDs and 2126 all-purpose yards.
